Annual Six-a-Side Football Tournament

The Liverpool Supporters Club of Luxembourg will be holding their Annual Six-a-Side Football Tournament on Saturday 10th June at the Lorentzweiler Football ground. The tournament will start at 10am.
There will be 12 teams participating, which will be split into two groups of six for the group stages. The top two teams from each groups will then play in the Semi-Finals, the winner of which will play the Final. Games will be 10 minutes in total, with the exception of the final which will be 15 minutes. A specially commissioned trophy will presented to the winners of the tournament at the Black Stuff at 19:00 on Saturday evening.
We aim to have played all games before the kick-off of the World Cup match between England and Paraguay which kicks-off at 15:00. There will be Live TV coverage of this match shown at the ground following the tournament.
There will also a Bar-B-Que and full bar available throughout the day, and a tombola with some fabulous prizes.
If you want to play just bring your kit and there are bound to be teams who are looking for extra players. There will an entry fee of €10 per player payable in advance at the ground on the day.
So tell all your friends and family, bring the kids for a fun day out, and some quality football. This is your chance to emulate your World Cup heroes, before watching them.
To get to the Lorentzweiler ground, take the main road from Luxembourg City to Mersch and turn left just after Lorentzweiler Train Station, or better still, let the train take the strain. That way you can drink as much as you like.
The weather looks to be good over the weekend, so why not bring family and friends for a good day out while helping to raise money for charity. Last year we raised over €1,000 at this tournament, so come and help us to top that figure. The supporters club in association with the Black Stuff gave away over €2,500 in total last year to local charities as well as the Tsunami appeal.
